Level 3 Award in Food Safety Supervision for Retail

Overview: This course is designed for those who are, or intend to be, supervisors in any part of the food and drink retail sector. It will provide a depth of knowledge and understanding that will enable candidates to identify problems and to recommend solutions. Candidates get a greater understanding of food poisoning bacteria and contamination, and ways to prevent this happening, at a more supervisory level. Successful candidates will have the appropriate knowledge and understanding to enable them to confidently take responsibility for food safety monitoring procedures, identify hazards to food safety, take appropriate action and contribute to improvements in food safety practice.

Assessment: The course is assessed by a multiple choice question paper at the end of the course. The pass mark is 40 out of 60.
