Overview: This course has been designed to raise awareness of key food safety issues at a introductory level and to provide candidates with an essential knowledge of food hygiene in a retail environment for example supermarkets, butchers etc.

Content:
  • Understand the basic requirements of food safety and hygiene
  • How to keep clean and hygienic;
  • How to keep work areas clean;
  • The role an individual plays in reducing contamination.
  • Identify key food safety issues
Assessment: The course is assessed through a multiple choice test.

Duration: A half-day programme arranged to suit.
